Just want a match?

The browser version is one click away: first to five goals, one player against the CPU or two players on the same keyboard. No install, no account, no waiting.

What is Ragdoll Football?

Ragdoll Football is the name of two different things, which is exactly why so many people land on the wrong page. On Roblox it is a community-made American football game: you carry the ball, you get tackled, and you upgrade a character between matches. In a browser it is a physics football game: two floppy bodies, one ball, a goal at each end.

This site covers both. It runs the browser game directly on the Play page, and it explains the Roblox version — where to find it, what it needs, and how its controls work.

Roblox or browser: which one did you come for?

The two versions share a name and nothing else. They are not the same game, they do not share controls, and progress in one means nothing in the other. Pick the row that matches why you searched.

  • Roblox — American football, tackling, character upgrades and progression. Needs the Roblox client and a free account.
  • Browser — soccer rules, first to five goals, keyboard or touch, no account and no download.
  • Not sure — read the Roblox version guide first, then decide. It takes about two minutes.

What you need before you start

Nothing but a browser. The browser version runs on a laptop, a Chromebook or a phone, and the pitch stays frozen until you press Start.

The full key map — both players, the touch buttons, and what the Roblox places do differently — lives on one page of its own. This page only gets you to the right one.

Read one page, then play

If you have never played a ragdoll football game, start with How to Play: it explains the goal and the first sixty seconds. If you already play and keep losing the ball, go straight to the controls page and check the two-player key map.

Everything else — throwing, mobile play, which games are similar — is one click from the Guides hub. No page on this site requires you to read another page first.
